Opus posthumous No 1

Several people were making things for Jen which were unfinished at her death, or which she didn't see. I was writing a poem, a friend was doing a cross-stitch, and another two friends had rehearsed a piece of music. The poem she knew about but didn't read, while the others were unknown to her. Now they stand as testaments of the love that we had for Jen.

This post is for the music, the Adagio from J. S. Bach's Violin Sonata in E, performed at Jen's funeral by those two friends. At the time a slideshow of pictures of Jen was shown while the music played. I've attempted to reproduce this by having a video clip of stills of Jen, with the performance as the sound track. For reasons of privacy the pictures are those of Jen alone, or with the boys when they were very small.

  1. This is such a beautiful memorial. I love how the arc of the music seems to reflect the richness and joy of a life, which we see little glimpses of in the wonderful photos. Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us.
